Tim Flood writes about characters shaking off childhood conditioning to deepen relationships and fulfill their potential. His forthcoming novel, The Flower of Canaan (2026), explores the roots of society’s conditioning and troubling beliefs about women. Tim also authored a nonfiction book, Islands Apart: Chronicles of Family Healing (1999), about teen addiction, their journeys, and their families’ response. His short story, “Spaceman,” was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Retired from a tech career at Stanford University and consulting, Flood lives with his wife near San Francisco.
